From a forgotten wasteland to a creative meeting point

For the 28. Coburger Designtage  I was allowed to take on the project management of the ItsUfer terrace, which has contributed to making the forgotten site of the old freight yard a better experience. In a creative student initiative & interdisciplinary cooperation, a platform was created here on the site that has already been condemned to be demolished.

CONSTRUCTION OF THE PLATFORM, STAIRS AND PATHS

URBAN GARDEN

During the day through the greens, guided by a path that can be composted with chippings, there are always small bays to linger along the river. The terrace was used in the evening for a open-air cinema and also as a small dance floor at the opening party of the design week. Lighting design and vegetation lighting followed by the lighting team. Pallet furniture were borrowed from Palettenliebe.
